National Park Risnjak

National Park Risnjak, located near the village of Crni Lug in Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts in northern Croatia. Spanning 63.5 square kilometers, the park encompasses the rugged Risnjak and Snježnik massifs and the pristine source area of the Kupa River. Its highest peak, Risnjak, rises to 1,528 meters, offering panoramic views over forests, valleys, and distant mountain ranges.

The park’s visitor center and administration are based in Crni Lug, making it a convenient starting point for exploration.
