Likos Adrenaline Park

Likos Adrenaline Park is a small outdoor activity centre on the edge of Gospić, the main town of the Lika region, close to the town centre and set beside the Novčica river. Lika is a high, thinly populated plateau between the Velebit mountains and the Plitvice Lakes, and Gospić is its administrative centre, so the park is aimed partly at local families and school groups and partly at visitors who pass through on the way to the coast or the national parks and want something active to do for a few hours.

The park covers a few hectares of riverside land with open spaces and trees, and the activities are built around three main attractions. The first is a zip line, which carries participants on a run of around two hundred metres over the terrain, giving a short and fast ride that is suitable for a wide range of ages with the right harness and supervision. The second is an artificial climbing wall about twelve metres high, with routes of different difficulty for beginners and more experienced climbers, belayed by trained staff. The third is a paintball field set in natural terrain, which suits teams and groups, with protective equipment provided.

Because of its mix of activities, the park is popular for team-building days, school excursions, children's birthday parties and group celebrations. The site has terraces, changing rooms and a kitchen, so groups can organise their own catering or arrange food with local partners. Staff are known to be helpful and focus on safety, which matters for activities with ropes and equipment. Participants usually sign a waiver, and age and weight limits apply to some of the activities.

Activities are offered mainly by arrangement, and opening times and prices are not fixed in the way they would be at a museum, so contact the park in advance to confirm what is available and to book, especially at weekends and in the high season. Wear sports clothing and closed shoes, bring water and sun protection, and ask about weather policies, since rain can affect climbing and the zip line.

Gospić has a few other points of interest that can be combined with a visit. The Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary is in the town centre, and Jasikovac Forest is a quiet green area for walks. The inventor Nikola Tesla was born in the village of Smiljan, a short drive from Gospić, and the Velebit mountains and Plitvice are within reach. The park suits families with older children, school groups and friends looking for a few hours of active fun.
