Baška Glagolitic Trail (Bašćanska glagoljska staza)

The Baška Glagolitic Trail (Bašćanska glagoljska staza) is a unique cultural and historical experience set in the stunning landscape of Baška, on the island of Krk, Croatia. This open-air trail celebrates the Glagolitic script—the oldest known Slavic alphabet, developed in the 9th century—by guiding visitors along a route marked with 34 impressive stone sculptures, each engraved with a different Glagolitic letter.

The trail begins at the Treskavac mountain pass and winds its way down to Baška’s picturesque waterfront, passing through the Baška valley and key sites such as Jurandvor, home to the famous Baška Tablet.
