The Pejačević Castle in Našice, Croatia, is a Baroque-revival structure located in the center of the town within Osijek-Baranja County. Built between 1811 and 1812 by Vincencije Ljudevit Pejačević, the castle stands as a testament to the region’s aristocratic history. The building was repaired after an 1817 earthquake and later expanded in the mid-19th century by Ferdinand Karlo Rajner and his son Ladislav, who added thirteen windows, a decorative gable, balustrade, and clock.

Visitors can explore the castle, which is now home to the Local Museum of Našice. After extensive renovation, the museum reopened, linking the legacy of the Pejačević noble family with the broader history of the Našice area. The castle is situated within a spacious park that connects the large and small castle structures, a pond, and other elements of the former noble complex. This setting provides a peaceful environment for visitors to appreciate the architectural details and historical significance of the site.

The castle has a complex history, having served as a German war hospital during World War II, which caused damage to its facade and roof. Post-war, it functioned as a barracks, school, kindergarten, or office before being restored for public use. Today, it is open to the public, offering insights into the cultural and artistic heritage of the region. The presence of composer Dora Pejačević, who lived in the castle in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, adds to its cultural importance. Travelers interested in history and architecture will find the Pejačević Castle a significant site in Našice, reflecting the town’s transformation into a center of culture and elegance during the 19th century.
