Vajavina Beach - 100 Stairs
Secluded beach reached by 100 stairs in Vrbnik
Vajavina Beach—often called “100 Stairs” by locals and visitors alike—is a hidden gem in the coastal town of Vrbnik on Krk Island, Croatia. This scenic beach is renowned for its tranquil atmosphere, crystal-clear waters, and stunning views of the Adriatic, making it a favorite spot for those seeking relaxation away from the crowds.
Access to Vajavina Beach is part of the adventure: visitors descend a flight of 100 steps from the town above, which adds a sense of seclusion but may make the beach less suitable for small children or those with mobility challenges. Once you reach the shore, you’ll find a mix of pebbles, concrete terraces, and rocky areas stretching across 90 meters of coastline. In 2020, the city added a terrace with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cushions for rent, enhancing comfort and providing a perfect place to soak up the sun.
While there are no facilities or food services directly on the beach, two restaurants are within easy walking distance, allowing you to enjoy a meal or refreshments after your swim. Parking is available nearby, and entrance to the beach is free of charge. Pets and naturism are not permitted, ensuring a family-friendly environment.
Vajavina Beach is ideal for those who appreciate peaceful surroundings, beautiful sea views, and a bit of adventure. Whether you arrive by car, bike, on foot, or by boat, this beach offers a memorable escape on Krk’s scenic coastline.
