Fritzi Palace – Museum of Lošinj

Fritzi Palace, located in the heart of Mali Lošinj, is a 19th-century architectural gem that now serves as the Museum of Lošinj. This elegant building, once a guesthouse in the early 20th century, has become a vibrant center for art and culture on the island. The museum is best known for its two permanent collections: the Piperata Collection of Old Masters and the Collection of Croatian Masters by Andro Vid Mihičić.

The Piperata Collection features 27 works, primarily from the Italian Baroque period, gathered by local physician and art enthusiast Giuseppe Piperata. These paintings offer visitors a glimpse into the artistic heritage of the wider Mediterranean region. The Mihičić Collection, meanwhile, showcases Croatian art from the early 20th century through the 1970s, including paintings and sculptures that reflect the evolving cultural landscape of Croatia.
